About Agrifos

Agrifos is an agri partnership with roots firmly planted in the fertile soil of Lolland. Today, we manage 5,800 hectares of high-quality, reliable farmland with a diverse crop rotation focusing on sugar beets, grains, rapeseed, and grass seed production. We are constantly evolving, striving every day to become better than we were yesterday, all while maintaining respect for our surroundings.

Currently, eight primary farms — Frederiksdal, Stensgaard, Nøjsomhed, Sophiedal, Magelundegaard, Gammeleje, Katrinesminde and Rudbjerggaard & Fredsholm — along with their associated properties, are managed in collaboration. Through the years, the agri partnership has developed into what it is today, but the core values on which the company was founded in 2007 still remain.

The operation centers are Stensgaard and Rudbjerggaard, which serves as the hubs for our skilled employees' daily activities. Agrifos currently employs one director, 13 full-time staff, two to four apprentices, and seasonal help when needed. Over the years, we have invested in modern equipment, while continuously upgrading employee- and storage facilities to ensure the company and workplace remain both attractive and presentable.

The history

In January 2007, Agrifos I/S was established by the two neighboring farms, Frederiksdal and Stensgaard, which saw synergies in jointly managing their combined 950 hectares.

Already the following year, in 2008, the company expanded to 1,260 hectares when Nøjsomhed joined the partnership. Nøjsomhed is geographically located like the original two farms, right along the coastline of northwest Lolland.

In January 2011, Agrifos expanded further with the addition of Sophiedal, bringing the total land under management to 1,480 hectares. This continued until 2020, when Magelundegaard joined Agrifos. The partnership increased through organic growth, and by 2023, Agrifos was managing 1,750 hectares.

In January 2023, Agrifos merged with I/S Gammeleje, bringing the crop plan to 3,200 hectares.

In 2024 Agrifos Sharefarming was launched and for the 2025 season the first 400 hectares were managed under our sharefarming concept.

In January 2026, Agrifos merged with both Katrinesminde and Rudbjerggaard & Fredsholm, increasing the cultivated area to 5,300 hectares, in addition to sharefarming operations.

The Agrifos concept

Agrifos is built on shared core values and simple
collaboration principles. The fundamental idea is cooperation – standing stronger together than individually. Taking collective responsibility, moving in the same direction, and sharing common ambitions within crop production.

The concept is based on fairness, transparency, and mutual
trust. It is about creating a framework where collaboration makes sense in practice, and where both people and farms can develop over time. Therefore, it is essential that we share the same fundamental view on operations, economics, and values – even when the path forward requires change.

Agrifos leases buildings from the individual properties and pays according
to usage. In this way, a fair structure is created where the properties’ productive assets continue to maintain their operational value. All activities are recorded and the collaboration is administered through an internal settlement account. This account also handles the company’s grain and rapeseed sales. Each participant therefore executes their own sales strategy.

Given the high level of data sharing, trust, and commitment to collaboration, the Agrifos concept has proven its value since 2007. The concept is continuously refined to ensure that it remains fair and relevant to the current conditions of modern crop production.
